When can I download Oye Buddy?

Oye Buddy is coming soon to Google Play for Android. Join the beta waitlist above and we'll email you as soon as you can install it.

Is Oye Buddy free?

Yes. Everyone gets a daily number of free likes, Buddy Feed hearts and replies, reset at midnight IST. Optional plans unlock extras like unlimited likes and seeing who liked you. Plans and prices are the same for everyone, and the full terms are shown in the app before any payment.

Can people see my exact location?

No. Your location is stored rounded to about 1 km, and other people only see an approximate distance. The Nearby map shows activity by area, never individual pins. If you share a pin in a chat, it is rounded to about 100 m.

How does selfie verification work?

It's optional. You take one live selfie in a random pose with your front camera. A trained member of our safety team compares it with your profile photos. We don't use automated face recognition or create a face template. The selfie is deleted 30 days after the decision, or right away if you withdraw or delete your account.

What is the Buddy Feed?

Short, public plans from people nearby, like “Chai at 6, join me?”. Posts disappear after a few hours. Reply to one to start a chat.

What if someone makes me uncomfortable?

Open the chat menu and tap Block to stop all contact, Report to tell our safety team, or Unmatch to end the conversation. Reports are confidential. For serious issues you can also contact our Grievance Officer. In an emergency, call 112.

Who can use Oye Buddy?

Adults aged 18 and over, with one account per person and real photos of themselves. See our Community Guidelines.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to You → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate. If you can't open the app, see Delete account to request it by email.
